Organization

Industrivärden's operations are conducted at the offices in Stockholm, Sweden. The company has a well adapted organization that is characterized by high flexibility and short decision-making channels. Operations involve approximately 15 employees, eight board members and an extensive network. Internal work is project-oriented, and most employees are involved in both the evaluation of shareholdings and active ownership processes.

Employees

Professional and successful management requires competent and committed employees as well as an attractive and dynamic workplace. Major emphasis is therefore put on the recruiting process, competence development and a good company culture. Industrivärden’s ethical values and ambitions as an employer are set out in the Company’s Code of Conduct, which addresses areas such as the work environment, diversity and business ethics. The employees’ total compensation shall be in line with the going rate in the market and competitive.

Executive Management

The Executive Management is responsible for the Company’s day-to-day administration, which includes strategic, organizational and finance matters as well as control and follow up, among other things. Members of the Executive Management participate actively in evaluation of the Company’s shareholdings as well as in the active ownership and can provide specialist expertise. Certain members of the Executive Management also serve on the nominating committees and boards of portfolio companies.

Investment and analysis organization

The investment and analysis organization is organized into company teams. Each team is led by a team manager, and employees are normally active on two to three teams.

The company teams are responsible for the continuous monitoring of their respective portfolio companies, updating Industrivärden’s owner agendas for exercising active ownership and for conducting specific investigative projects related to strategic issues in the portfolio companies. They also make recommendations for transactions in the portfolio companies as well as for alternative investments and entire divestments. 

Decisions on equity transactions within the continuing administration are made by the CEO, where applicable after consideration by the Company’s Investment Committee. The Company’s Investment Committee is made up of the members of the Executive Management, and the investment organization. The committee conducts continuous follow-up of investment decisions and sets Industrivärden’s owner agendas for the exercise of active ownership in the portfolio companies. 

Support functions

In support of Industrivärden's operations, and to meet the requirements of a market listing, there are also necessary support functions in business administration, finance, IT, legal and communication.

Personal Development

All employees have continuous appraisals with their immediate superiors. This dialog aims to assess the past year, set up individual targets and to determine relevant development measures.

Compensation

As part of its endeavor to recruit and retain talented employees, Industrivärden strives to offer its employees a compensation package that is in line with the going rate in the market, consisting of base salary, a variable salary component, incentive programs and pension benefits.
